Citizens Committee Right to Keep and Bear Arms
"The Common Sense Gun Lobby."
The Citizens Committee Right to keep and Bear Arms, or CCRKBA for short is an organization that was founded in 1971. With over 615,000 members, their goal is to protect the gun rights of the people of the U.S. and educate people on the second amendment and it's importance to Americans. One of their accomplishments have been successfully arguing against the magazine ban, which banned magazines that hold more then 10 rounds. The reason for the ban is that with more rounds the shooter can fire at a higher rate, thus enabling him to injure more people. However, CCRBKA did a study which showed people can actually shoot faster with more smaller clips. This is one strong argument that defeats the ban of large magazines. CCRKBA is important because they are constantly fighting with government officials to prove that gun control can be disastrous. CCRKBA supports this by saying there are thousands of home owners each year that defend their homes with firearms. Without firearms, it is unknown how many of them actually would have survived against armed robbers. CCRKBA tries to get this news out to the public, because they say the public only focuses on the violence of guns. When a shooting happens and people are killed it is all over the news and everyone heres about it, but when someone protects their home using firearms they are not publized as much. One example is about a man who protects his home in Arizona from armed burglars.
